The lime plant in Troitza was acquired by SMA Mineral in 1999 and is located about 18 km from the city of Shumen in northeastern Bulgaria. The facility has a limestone deposit, two lime kilns, and a hydration plant for the production of slaked lime. The products are delivered to combined heat and power plants, water treatment plants, agriculture, and the construction industry.
