Crushed Aggregates

Production

Crushed aggregates is produced by extracting and crushing rock material. Crushed aggregates can result from both mechanical crushing and screening of the mined rock. The crushed aggregates comes in different sizes, from fine sand to larger stones or crushed particles.

SMA Mineral produces crushed aggregates and stone powder in-house. The products, available in various fractions, are divided into two main groups: crushed aggregates from granite-bearing rock or crushed rock from limestone with some granite or pure limestone content.

Many Uses

Crushed aggregates is primarily used in the construction and civil engineering industries as fill material or as a component in asphalt and concrete.

Small fractions of crushed rock can also be used as ballast in concrete mixes, improving the strength and durability of the concrete.
