SMA Mineral - A world full of lime

Rättvik

The Rättvik lime plant was established in the 1950s and became part of SMA Mineral in the 1980s. After being closed for a period, the plant was restarted, and the restoration of the production facility for burned products took place over a 15-year period. Additionally, a facility for slaked lime was built.

At the Rättvik lime plant, quicklime, burnt dolomite, slaked lime, and products for soil stabilization are produced. The raw material comes from the Jutjärn limestone quarry, which also supplies the Boda lime plant.
